Migrants’ Rhapsody

A dynamic devised performance telling the unspoken afflictions of Slovak migrants in Britain.

Migrants’ Rhapsody, production photo

A dynamic devised performance telling the unspoken afflictions of Slovak migrants in Britain — their arrival, their English routine and the decision about the future — ending in an allegorical wedding of migrants and Miss Great Britain.

Migrants’ Rhapsody was the production that marked the new era of Slovak Theatre London. Rehearsed from autumn 2014 outside the Slovak Catholic Mission and performed in completely new locations, it told the unspoken afflictions of Slovak migrants in Britain through devised theatre, dance, music and song. The production toured London, Prague, Brussels and Slovakia.
