Slovak Theatre London creates original theatre, documentary film, exhibitions and community programmes that share the lived experience of Slovak and Czech people in the United Kingdom.

What we do
We make original work in Slovak, English and other languages — for our community, for the wider public, and for new audiences.
Slovak Theatre London was founded as a professional company in 2017, building on the work of the original Slovak theatre community in London that has been making work since 2009. Our productions, programmes and partnerships have grown into a multidisciplinary company with a flagship programme — Portraits of Slovak and Czech Britain — alongside original theatre, documentary film and learning and community engagement.
We are a member of the Central and Eastern European Creative Network (CEE Network) in the UK, and we work with embassies, government offices, broadcasters, community organisations, schools and venues across the country.

Identity
The Story Behind Our Logo.
The Slovak Theatre London logo is more than a visual identity — it represents the story of the communities we serve.
The heart divided into two halves symbolises the experience of people whose lives are shared between two countries, cultures and identities. It reflects the emotional journey of migration while celebrating the connections that remain across borders.
The double cross at the centre references one of Slovakia’s most recognisable national symbols, connecting the organisation to its cultural roots.
This visual metaphor also appeared in our first original theatre production, Migrants’ Rhapsody, where it became a symbol of belonging, identity and home.
